  Presidential Ponderings
Well another Archery season is under our belts and you all know what that means, HUNTING SEASON is upon us, I hope all of you that drew out are ready to make the trip, I know that I am… The National HQ move is over so check the NFAA Website for the new address and info for Yankton, the Nationals where there this summer and a few of the folks that made the trip got see everything 1st hand so I hope you can inform the rest of us of how it looks in real time. Now is the time to get me any changes in the Constitution/By-Laws (NFAA) so we can submit them as agenda Items, I will need them by the 1st of Sept. As you can see I was reelected in July and am looking forward to working for all of you for another 2 years, but my election does come with some sadness, Michelle stepped down as our Sec/Treas. I for one will miss her dedication and hard working ethics she gave unselfishly to the state and to her husband Art who also allowed us to borrow his wife for a brief time while she went about her duties. But not to disappear, we have a new person for the job her name is Peggy McDonald and I know she will do a very fine job for the State.. Welcome aboard Peggy.. Don't forget that we start our 09 tournaments in Oct of 08 with the American round so now is the time to plan the shoot with your local club or make plans to travel to one of the other locations.

See you at the shoots
Bob

Secretary Notes

20 Pin Awards
These awards are for Adults, Young Adults and Youth shooters only. Shooters acquire yardage bars by scoring "20" on a given target(s) on a field round. The yardage must be annotated on the scorecard for that target, and the scorecard must be signed by two witnesses.

The yardage bars are $2.00 each and the hanger pin (that the yardage bars connect to) is $3.00. To receive your pins, you'll need to mail a copy of your scorecard, with the "20" targets marked (include the yardages, please!), along with payment. I'll mail the pins to you. These pins are available for both the Hunter and Field rounds.

See what they look like by going to http://www.nfaaarchery.org/merchandise/category.cfm?categoryID=19
Upon collecting the entire series of bars in any one style of shooting, the NFAA Perfect Pin shall be awarded. No fee is required for this award.

Cub Perfect Patches
As the name indicates, these awards are for cubs! Qualifying for these patches is similar to the requirements for the 20 Pin Awards. That is, a perfect "20" must be scored on a given target, the yardage must be annotated on the scorecard for that target, and the scorecard must be signed by two witnesses.

Only one patch can be collected for a given yardage. These patches are $1.50 each. See what they look like by going to http://www.nfaaarchery.org/merchandise/category.cfm?categoryID=14

500 Club or Perfect Club
Any member who records a score of 500 or more, from the adult stakes, on a NFAA Field or Hunter round or a combination 14 Field/14 Hunter is eligible to join the NFAA 500 Club.

Any member who records a perfect score from the adult stakes on an NFAA Field or Hunter round, a combination 14 Field/14 Hunter, 28 NFAA Animal, or Indoor round, is eligible to join the NFAA Perfect Club.

For the 500 Club and Perfect Club, the shooter's scorecard, signed by two witnesses and must be mailed to me so that I can forward it to NFAA Headquarters.

More Pages to Come

There will be more pages created.  I am looking to put the Constitution on the Web.  I will also have the order form for awards from the NFAA, links to New Mexico clubs (real soon), a page of shoot pictures, and even a page for members to sell stuff.

Keep coming back and send any feed back that you may have.
